European Championships 2001
Ireland will host the 2001 European Championships from July 9th - 14th in Castlebar and Ballinrobe, Co Mayo.

Competition will be held in the following categories:

Irish Team For World Championships
The Irish Team to compete in the World Racquetball Championships in San Luis Potosi, Mexico August 4th - 12th 2000 is as follows;
Men`s Team; Noel O`Callaghan(Fermoy), Anthony Butler(Clones), Pat Hanley(Fermoy) Kevin Jennings (Castlebar)
Womens Team; Karen Grumbridge (Fermoy) Joan Kennedy(Dolla), Anne Marie Grumbridge(Fermoy) Bernadette Comerford(Kilkenny)

Irish Junior Team win medals at the 11th World Junior Championships
At the 11th Pro Kennex World Junior Championships Irish team members were well in the medlas especially in the lower divisions. Mike Haverty(Castlebar) and Seamus Power(Touraneena) reached the semi finals of the Boys under 12 Doubles, Michelle Haverty(Castlebar) and Aoife Hickey(Touraneena) also reached the dsemifinals of the Girls Under 14 Doubles. Aoife Hickey also made it to the last eight of the Girls Under 14 Singles as did Sonya Donnelly (Fermoy) in the Girls Under 16 Singles.

The team departs from Dublin Airport on December 11th and returns home on December 23rd.

Irish Junior Team bound for World Championships
Ireland will be represented at the 10th World Junior Championships in Fountain Valley City, USA (December 17-22nd, 1999) by a team of 8 boys and 8 girls. The team will travel out the the USA on December 11th accompanied by coach Christy Slattery. The members of the team will be announced shortly.
Ireland take 2nd place
The two man Irish team of Pat Hanley(Fermoy) and Martin McConnon(Kingscourt) put in a tremendous effort at the 1999 10th European Championships July 20-24 in Bad Toelz , Germany to take the silver medal in the Mens Team Event behind the winners and host nation Germany. Both players also won bronze medals in the Mens Open Doubles competition. Well done and congratulations to both Pat and Martin. Full results click here
European Championships
Ireland will be represented at the European Racquetball Championships in Bad Toelz, Germany by Patrick Hanley from Fermoy Racquetball Club and Martin McConnon from Kingscourt Racquetball Club. Both will fly to Germany on Sunday 18th July and will play for Ireland in the team event, the singles event and then will team up to play doubles for Ireland. Matches begins on Tuesday 20th July and the Championships will reach a conclusion on Saturday 24th July.
