Grades Novice D C B1, B2 Open A player winning a singles grade at an Open Tournament is promoted to the next grade. A player may win 3 B/C competitions at Open Tournaments before becoming an Open Player. Players winning All Ireland Championships are promoted to the next grade. Players having won singles competitions at Open Tournaments may revert back one grade only to plays in the All Ireland Championships but only in the past 12 months.
